So I need some opinions. I have been noticing little boys that have long hair lately and most of them don't look very good. In fact, I was looking at a little boy and thinking he would be much cuter if his mom cut his hair and then I realized, his hair looked almost exactly like Mason's.

I am aware that in this picture it needs a trim, we cut about 1 inch off the day after this picture, but I am asking... Is it time to chop off his hair? I am thinking that it is, but I really do want some opinions. It really isn't even as curly as it used to be. I'll show you a short time line.

DO NOT cut his hair...I repeat: DO NOT CUT HIS HAIR! Seriously, Tara, I love it. I don't think it's too stragly or anything. It's just darling and it's so Mason. He's not to the age yet that you really need to cut it anyway, and you keep it nicely trimmed all the time. Just let the curls be enjoyed by all who observe him for a little while longer!

As his hairdresser when I am in town, I have to say don't cut it. As long as the back of his hair isn't more than 1/2" longer than his hairline it is a perfectly good boy hair cut. Mason looks like a boy with cute curly hair. If he was famine I would cut it, but he isn't. Love you Meg

CUT IT!!!

And if you hate it and think he looked better with it longer, then he can grow it out. It's only hair and I personally do think he'd look better with it cut.

I LOVE Mason's hair. Once you cut it it will never be the same again. Remember when Jason cut Carter's hair the day of Grandma's funeral. I was devastated and it was not soft or curly when it grew out. Does Mason want his hair cut?

If you cute it make sure you have saved some of those beautiful locks!!! I think it looks good. I bet it is just part of who he is...What would he do with short hair?

Thanks for stoping in and saying hi. I always check up on your blog to see how you are. Have a great week!

Tough call Tara! Glad it is you making it, not me. Personally, I think it is so cute. I love curly hair. Good luck!

I was just thinking as I saw the first picture how GQ he looked! Then after reading the post you included after it, I started shouting "NO, NO, NO!!" in my head. My little guy has lots of curls too, and I'm hoping I can be as patient as you to let it grow out longer... but I totally know what you mean about "is it time?" Sometimes it just gets to that point where you wonder if it's too shaggy anymore. But I love it!

Hi Tara.
Does anyone ever think he is a girl? That's what began happening to my son and I cut his hair, not too short of course! He still has beautiful blonde curls! Fun to see your pictures and hear about your family!
